How could human hands have created something so unmeasurable, yet so breathtaking? While endangering the lives of those responsible for it, artificial intelligence is capable of producing fascinating art and putting those interested in pursuing a career in visual arts in jeopardy. Is it possible to pursue a career in the art industry that requires creativity and experience to compete with some robot that requires nothing?
Putting those individuals at risk who are working toward careers as graphic designers or visual artists. Those who are making a living out of visual art, Invested a significant amount of time and resources to ensure that the process through which their products are created is of sufficient quality that allows them to be sold as works of visual art. While concurrently fighting with something that isn't even present but is still able to produce appealing visuals.
AI has the potential to be a beneficial tool; however, what will it be in the not-so-distant future? It has already established its dominance in the field of the visual art industry. We will no longer require the assistance of humans to satisfy their whims and fancies. Every piece of artwork that the AI produces doesn’t belong to anyone, which makes it simpler for other people to use the artwork or even sell commercial rights to it.
Suppose they are successful in accomplishing this objective. In that case, the products they sell will have an advantage over the products their competitors offer that are precisely the same as the ones already available in the market. This kind of activity is already widely acknowledged as a standard procedure in a wide variety of business subfields linked to the visual industry in some way, and it is generally accepted that this will continue to be the case.
Should It Be Consider Art?
Everyone is capable of creating art; it just takes some practice and patience. But what if you don't need either of those things? Is it fair and ethical to those who have worked hard at becoming skilled at visual art over their lives? I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but it's irrelevant at this point. When an artificial intelligence creates a piece of artwork for a user, it takes into consideration the user's preferences and interests. It incorporates those aspects into the artwork that it develops. This is done in order to personalize the experience for the user.
Having an artistic and visual style that is comparable to another. Artificial intelligence can now produce one-of-a-kind works of art. These are ideally suited to those individuals who don’t care about taking the time and effort to create their own art. Usually, art is described as having thoughts, creativity, and a meaning behind it. Even though AI cannot put feelings and emotions behind a picture, it can still learn from humans who can do so. It is ultimately up to art critics and the general public to decide whether or not, the work created by AI qualifies as, "real art."
What Do You Think?
An AI produced the image that you see above. Simply entering the word, "dinosaurs" into the search bar was sufficient to produce the desired artistic result. It shouldn't be surprising that something as nonsensical as this could occur. The creativity of a human being is beaten out for a prize by an artificial intelligence robot. As if it weren't already difficult enough to compete with other human beings, we also have to worry about this as another rival. Simply entering a word into a computer powered by artificial intelligence will cause the program to generate a highly creative depiction of whatever you type in.
Is there even the tiniest possibility that one day the condition of our society will have significantly improved to the point that it will no longer be necessary for individuals to make use of their creative abilities? Is there even the slightest possibility that this could happen? If the question is answered in the affirmative, then the pose question will most likely take place. However, what are the chances of this materializing?
“When technology takes over every aspect of our lives, we won’t care anymore about the data but poems, songs, paintings and other creative arts.” By Pooja Agnihotri
I have personally used some of these AI art generators and they are crazy. You can type in whatever you want and within reason it will generate an image with adjustable settings for how it will turn out. This was very interesting and well phrased. I like it.
This was a great read Tony. You asked some important question in regards to how we look at Artificial Intelligence and how we think of art in general. I went to the link you provided for A.I. generated art, there are some cool things happening in the A.I. art world. It was a great read. Good job!
